One part of the running path is along the sea, while the other parts will challenge your balance skills since they will lead you across the rocky landscape. Even if you are not the winner and would take time to finish the race, you can enjoy the afternoon sun covering these natural Mars-like beauties. It will really feel like on Mars.

Historical places in Novalja

One of the valuable places to visit is for sure the City Museum of Novalja. There, you can see the most important historical moments of the city and this region, and how people lived here centuries ago. In the town center, don’t miss to visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary. It is the church that dates back to the 5th century, built in Gothic style, where the remaining floor mosaic still exists. Also, when it comes to religion, one of the oldest illustrations of Maria, Our Lady, in the whole Adriatic coast was found here. In Stomorica, you will see the leftovers of the old church furniture together with some valuable archeological items.

Places to find peace

Not so far from the island, there are a few smaller, mostly uninhabited islands, such as Maun and Planik. Maun is great for diving, as there are a few great underwater spots around the island. There are a few more smaller islands, and all of them are mainly hidden from the big crowd, so you only need a boat, and you will have peace and silence.
