Magaluf, where the party never stops

3 minutes to read

At the southwest corner of Mallorca lies a Mecca for every party lover: Magaluf. A city with hundreds of pubs, major discos, restaurants, live festivals, waterparks, a long beach with white sand… A top destination at Mallorca: Magaluf, where the party never stops!

The city that never sleeps

They say New York never sleeps. Well, try Magaluf! This little town (less than five thousand people live here) is one of the top European destinations. Punta Ballena, or The Strip according to its English name, is the busiest street. Speaking of English names, since they started coming in the 1960s, Magaluf has embraced their culture and everywhere you can have English breakfast, fish and chips, a pint of Guinness, etc.

When the sun comes down, happy hour begins, and you can start trying the infinite different cocktails offered. Then… well, you know the drill. Spanish “fiesta” is unique!

Magaluf Beach & Nikki Beach

However, if you are seeking some day activities, Magaluf has a good offer too. Almost two kilometres of fine sand and clear waters to chill and relax. Here you can find a beach club where you can enjoy this experience even more. Nikki Beach, an international franchise (also located in Miami, Koh Samui, Dubai…), is ideal for a very, very luxurious stay. Picture yourself in a Bali bed, just in front of the beach, with a swimming pool next to you, divine cocktails coming to your hand… What else could you wish for?

The rest of the Magaluf beach is also full of restaurants with beautiful terraces that invite you to sit, eat, drink and enjoy life. In front of you is the Sa Porrassa island. Do not try to swim there, it is further than it looks! Instead, you can always rent a boat and visit the nearby beaches. Beautiful Cala Falcó is only three kilometres away if you want a break from the crowd.

What to do

The offer at Magaluf is simply huge. If you are there with friends and want to have fun, Punta Ballena or The Strip is the street to go. Another option for you is the Mallorca Live Festival, every month of May. Live concerts are offered at the beach with some of the best international artists.

If you are here with your family, have no fear. During the last few years, Magaluf has updated its tourist offer so everyone can enjoy it. There is a show that has been on for 30 years and is rated the number one activity on the resort. Book here to enjoy dinner over a night full of acrobatics, an adventure over the seven seas: the Pirates show. Jump on the Hispaniola and follow the quests of Morgan, his treasure hunting, see pirates flying over your head… It cannot be explained, better to be lived! I let you see a video here so you can have a glimpse of what I am talking about.

Another great activity for the whole family is the Western Waterpark. If you are feeling fearless and are seeking a bit of adrenaline, one of the waterslides is the 11th highest in the world! And last but not least, you cannot leave Magaluf without visiting Katmandu Park, one of Mallorca’s top attractions. A vertigo room, a fun house upside down, a mini-golf… and my favourite, a virtual walk through an abandoned asylum in 5D! I promise you will be scared to death. Book here if you want to skip the huge lines!

Of course, after all these emotions, you will need to rest, and I have the best spot for you: the INNSiDE by Meliá Calviá Beach. It is a great place by the beach, with a buffet restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine all day and top drinks at its own bar. In addition, the swimming pool area has a VIP area with Balinese beds… yes, a dream come true.
