What did Roman Vienna look like? How did you live then? At the center of the presentation is the heyday of Vindobona, when over 30,000 people lived in the Vienna area: a colorful mix of locals and immigrants from all parts of the Roman Empire. The Legion Camp served to secure the northern border of the Empire. In addition to military tasks, the approximately 6,000 soldiers also had administrative and craft activities to perform. In Vindobona they had a range of things to do, so that they did not have to give up their usual way of life - from taverns to spas and theaters to brothels. Closed: 1.1., 1.5. and 25.12.
