Description

The museum on the first floor of a pink Neo-Baroque building built on the first floor of the Kadriorg Palace Management Company, or the Cathedral Hall of the 19th Century, introduces the last home of one of the most famous Estonian writers Eduard Vilde (1865-1933) at the beginning of the 20th century. Since 1946, the E.Vilde Museum is in the historic apartment of the writer. The museum's permanent exposition provides a complete overview of the writer's life and work. Through the authentic past home, the ordinary person manifests itself behind the creation. Writer, but still human! The interior of the Vilde Museum has been considered to be one of the best-preserved 20th century interiors, where it is also possible to see the production of the Luther factory. The museum offers several educational programs, a chance to have birthdays and every month a new art exhibition on our second floor in the Castellan House Gallery.
