Description

San Lázaro Temple was the first catholic temple of Sucre, formerly called La Plata. It was founded in 1538, the same year of the foundation of La Plata. It was initially built as a small and very simple chapel. In the XVI, century it was used as the city's Cathedral, for a period, while the current one was being built. © iStock/Markus Faymonville
