This characteristic, fairytale monument arose between 1425 and 1488 as a city gate. It is the restaurant in Amsterdam for your lunch, dinner, drinks or meeting. The imposing historic space is sleek but informally decorated and illuminated by 300 candles in large chandeliers; a unique ambiance. Restaurant-Café In De Waag is open every day. You can come to us from 09.00 in the morning, for example for a breakfast or coffee with apple schnitt. Our wireless Wi-Fi network offers you the possibility to keep your laptop 'office' in In de Waag. Until 4.00 pm we serve sandwiches, soups, salads and specialties in both the cafe and restaurant areas. Cake and snacks can be ordered throughout the day.
