Queimadas

Description

Queimadas is a 2,1Km course, through the Madeira wilderness that allows people with motor and visual disabilities to enjoy the direct contact with nature, unfolding along the Levada do Caldeirão Verde. Along the way you find a habitat composed of the the natural forest of Madeira (Laurissilva forest) and the exotic forest (introduced by man). Here you can also stay in Casa de Abrigo das Queimadas, a house that maintains the original characteristics of the Typical Houses of Santana.
