This Pavilion dedicated to the sciences as built for the World Expo in 1998, where it was named as a Pavilion of Knowledge of the Seas, because the connection between people and the ocean was its original focus point. The Pavilion as we see it todays was open a year later, as a part of the countrywide Ciência Viva initiative, and it has become its largest and most visited site. © André Jesus
