Muo

Description

Muo is a place situated at the foot of a mountain in the bay opposite the Old Town of Kotor. It was first mentioned in the 14th century. It was once a fishing village and it still retains its charm. You can see different types of old ships and fishing nets drying on the shore at the pier. Its main characteristics are medieval stone houses. On the slope of hill Vrmac, 200 meters from the shore, is a church of St. Kuzma and Damian. It was rebuilt during centuries and it has gained its present aspect in the 18th century. There is a hiking path with steps, near the church, so you can go sightseeing or for a walk when you feel like staying in nature. The tradition of the villagers is fishermen nights that are held during the summer. That is the right time to enjoy fish and wine with traditional music program.
