Description
Mt. Ibu is an active stratovolcano in Halmahera Island, NE Indonesia. For the last few years it has been steadily, yet mildly erupting. Halmahera is sparsely populated, and the strombolian eruptions do not produce pyroclasms or massive lava flows; therefore, Mt. Ibu is usually not considered a threat.
