Description
Francisco de Assis França, better known by the nickname Chico Science, was a Brazilian singer and composer, one of the main collaborators of the manguebeat movement in the mid-1990s. Leader of the band Chico Science & Nação Zumbi left two recorded albums: Da Lama ao Chaos and Afrociberdelia. His statue is located at the Rua da Moeda, in the Old Recife.
