Brittany

Maritime region situated on the western tip of France, across from England. It enjoys a mild and humid climate all year round, with winds that can sometimes turn fierce....

Bordering Normandy and Pays de la Loire regions. Bro Gozh ma Zadoù is the anthem of Brittany. It is sung to the same tune as that of the national anthem of Wales, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, and has similar words. The region is composed of fishing villages on the southern coast, medieval fortifications and towns, craggy coastline (including the magnificent Côtes d'Armor of pink granite), parks and nature reserves that make it a favoured destination for lovers of rest and tranquillity. It played a major role in France's history, from ancient Gaul to the Hundred Years' War. Today it plays a significant economic role, based on agriculture, livestock breeding and industry.
