Where do artists gather in Skopje?

I always had a feeling that the Skopje old bazaar is like my grandmother's dress pocket. Full with sweet treats and always triggering pleasant feelings.

Without doubts, I can say that every diet of mine was ended in one of these streets and I regret nothing. Either with Tulumba, either with Trileche, or Lachmagjun or Pide. Lachmagjun and Pide. I would like to share with you, my dear friends, the story of experiencing Lachmagjun and Pide. These two are Turkish dishes. The concept is similar to pizza (crust with topping), but without any intentions to shock Italians. I would state that this is better than pizza.

Because of the promised title, I will not talk about food for a change. I would say that this is a story about one place where mostly artists are gathering. If you wander enough around the old bazaars streets, you will find this special place called Galerija 7. It is an iconic spot in The capital of Macedoina for decades. The Academy of arts in Skopje is placed in the old Bazaar, so it makes sense for the people with this affinities to gather here.

I never skip visiting Galerija 7 when I’m in Skopje, and the biggest trouble is to decide over Lachmagjun or Pide. As you can guess, I often take both. It goes perfectly with Ajran (Turkish jogurt) and a good friend. During my last visit there, my friend told me that her mother was a regular here as a student and whenever this place got crazy crowded, she voluntarily washed some dishes to help the place to run better and to make everyone happy. I love this side of the Balkan. People here can get comfortable enough to feel like at home and this to be pleasant for everyone. Like the honey side of earth.
