I have traveled to many countries and explored many cities, but at some point, I realized that there are so many things in my own country that I never managed to see and get familiar with. Each country is beautiful, and one can find interesting and mind-blowing spots almost everywhere in the world. The good thing about itinari is that it motivates local editors from Europe and Central Asia to explore their own countries and fall in love with it every time they write a new story. Another good thing itinari does is giving a platform to share those feelings with other people who are curious about exploring new places. Well, this was just to say that I found two vineyard restaurants for you if you are a wine lover - Nazani and VanArdi.
VanArdi Winery & Restaurant
68JV+34 Shahumyani Trchnafabrika, ArmeniaArmenia Wine factory & Nazani restaurant
Sasunik 0223, ArmeniaArmenia Wine and Nazani Restaurant
Armenia Wine is a very popular brand in Armenia, as you could guess from its title. These wines are available in almost all shops but do not be lazy and drive to the village of Sasunik, where its factory is located. Just ask the locals where the factory is, and in no time, you will be there.
A huge building made out of red stones immediately attracts your attention. Inside of it, it is all about wine. You will be offered a wine degustation to try wines made of different sorts of grapes. Here, you will also find Nazani Restaurant, that has an outdoor area as well. The view from the open-air part is fantastic. You see the Mount Ararat and kilometers of grape plants in front of you.
VanArdi
If the Armenia Wine factory is on your right side, then you have to go to the left if you want to get to VanArdi wine factory. As soon as you see a small sign there, just follow it. You will need to drive through grape plants for about 7-10 minutes in order to get to this place.
I would recommend making an arrangement for your visit in advance. It is a small place in the middle of green plants and is excellent for gatherings with friends. The atmosphere here is calm. You can sit both inside and outside, depending on the weather. I don't know how else to describe it to you, but to say that it is really a joyful thing to spend a couple of hours in this place, taste great wine, collect grapes and have some delicious food.
Armenia is a small paradise for wine lovers, as here you will have many options to spend both your daytime and evenings in "the company” of good wine. Nazani and VanArdi vineyard restaurants are must-visit places, if you want to learn more about Armenian wine and to know how it should actually be enjoyed. Another good news for wine lovers is that Armas Wine factory and its restaurant are not too far from there, so it can be the next destination on your wine tour around Armenia.
