Strunjan: A view from the sea to the mountains

The approximately 46 km long Slovenian coast and its surroundings hide many beautiful places, beaches and cities that are waiting to be discovered. If you are a fan of hiking and stunning views, then the Strunjan Nature Reserve is a perfect place for you. You can discover the nature by walking along the very well marked path and observe the wine yards and olive groves or walk along the magnificent cliffs. There is also a path leading down to a hidden rocky shore called Beach Mesečev zaliv (Moon Bay), a beautiful beach where you can swim in clear water and make some materials for your Instagram profile.

Only a short hike away

One of the best ways to get to the Strunjan Nature Reserve is to leave your car next to the church called the Church of the Vision of St. Mary and continue by foot to the Strunjan Cross on top of the hill. There is a gorgeous viewpoint and offers a close view of the famous Strunjan cliff, the bright water of the Adriatic Sea and even the Italian city of Trieste.
