Description
The former building of the Zemsky Gymnasium No. 1, used to house the women's gymnasium during the Russian Empire. Afterwards, it became the Lyceum “Queen Maria”, in the Romanian period. In the Soviet times, it represented the Palace of Pioneers. Currently, there is an art gallery that is mainly visited by foreign tourists - one of the most striking architectural monuments of the XIX century in the center of Chisinau.
