Description

If you read these lines - then you are lucky. Lucky because you have a unique chance to feel welcome at the Villa of the 18th century, located on the oldest street in Uzhgorod - the most European city in Ukraine. Villa P was founded in the 1790s, by the clergy of the Greek Catholic Diocese and served as the residence of the rector of the seminary. After the ban of the church in 1946, Villa turned into a church hearth where several priests also lived and continued to serve. In the wine cellars, secret sacraments and rituals-services, weddings, and baptisms, were secretly sent. In the 50-90s of the last century, the building was turned into a communal apartment. In the early 21st century, the Villa was taken over by the Panov family. In November 2011, reconstruction work was started, which was successfully completed in the spring of 2013. Today, Villa P is a historically valuable, restored building, in which there are eight high-class apartments, an original wine cellar where you can taste authentic dishes and taste wines, an ancient spiral staircase, a hall and a salon. During the period of work, Villa P served as the residence of several ministers, ambassadors, descendants of the imperial family of the Habsburgs.
