Description
The Saviour Monastery of St. Euthymius is a monastery in Suzdal. It was founded in the 14th century. Now it is a museum complex including the seven-domed Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Our Saviour, the Refectory Church of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin, the Church and Bell-Tower of the Nativity of St John the Baptist and some more. The museum demonstrates collections of ancient hand-written books, Russian icons, precious handicrafts, restored frescoes of 17th century. It is UNESCO World Heritage site as a part of White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal.
