Description

At Sindis, at the end of the Wöhrmann alleys, there is a small house where, on November 17, 1902, the Sindi Kalevivabrikumi Society was founded - the first co-operative in Estonia. In this historic building, the factory was opened in 1983 by the self-employed museum. The main exhibition introduces the history of Sindi textile and factory, the life of factory workers and the history of Sindi city and school. In the small kitchen, you can see the tools of the past century and women's handicrafts. Introducing Sindi's education, sport and social life, and the life and creativity of Andrew Winter, a painter from Sindi.
