At the heart of Paris museums, neighboring the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay, a few minutes of the Grand and Petit Palais, the Palais de Tokyo and the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, the Quai Branly museum occupies a exceptional site on the banks of the Seine, at the foot of the Eiffel tower. Arts of Africa, Oceania, Asia and America now form the center of great historical and artistic tour of the capital. The musée du quai Branly is an innovative cultural institution: both museum, educational and research center, and living space for the public. Built on one of the last available sites in the heart of Paris, the architectural concept of this original project is signed by Jean Nouvel.
