Parque de Palmela

Description

This big park of lush trees and pleasant pathways sits at the intersection of the Cascais and Estoril districts, and dates back to 1870, when it was ordered to be built by the Palmela Dukes. The garden has been the stage for cultural activities from the start, and today they come in the form of concerts, plays and dance shows, in the Fernando Lopes Graça auditorium, inside its grounds. The park also offers an adventure park, a cafeteria and esplanade, and it is a great spot to escape the busy city around you. Picture © credits to Vasco Casula
