Girifalco Fortress in Cortona

Description

In this small village dating from Etruscan times and located on top of a hill, the 16th century fortress was originally built for military purposes. Today it hosts an exhibition center; if you are brave to go up the tower, you will get a spectacular view in the surrounding valley and Valdichiana area.
