Description
The Alba Diocesan Museum was founded in 2012 and is the result of archaeological excavations conducted between 2007 and 2012 in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. The Museum houses the lapidary, a motley collection of stones and marbles dated between the first century and the XVII. Visiting the underground archaeological tour you will discover the origins of the Roman city of Alba Pompeia, the remains of an early Christian cathedral and its transformations until the twelfth century.
