Museum and Botanical Garden of Lausanne: schedule: Open every day from March 1 to December 19 from 10am to 17:30, 6:30 p.m. May to September Free entry The Botanical Garden of Lausanne invites discovery of nearly 4,000 plants from around the globe. The visitor, according to his walk through an arboretum, a garden of medicinal plants, a collection of carnivorous plants, admire various rock plants and encounter species of protected plants. A greenhouse gathers tropical plants, utilities, spices, and a collection of orchids, while the greenhouse succulents and cacti meets succulents. The Botanical Museum, offers, in collaboration with the Botanical Garden, three temporary exhibitions a year. It also houses a library specialized in botany. Furthermore, it retains the botanical collections of dried plants and meadows of seagrass painted. The Library and Museum is viewable by appointment. The Thomasia, the Alpine Garden of Pont-de-Nant: schedule: 11/01/16 to 04/30/17: Closed From the 05/01/17: Open daily except Monday from 11h to 18h Free entry The Alpine Garden of Pont-de-Nant, The Thomasia is located to 1260 meters above sea level, in a unique setting at the foot of the western wall of the Grand Muveran. Balkans to the Andes, through the Himalayas and the Rockies, you can admire the mountains of plant species worldwide. North of the garden, some rock are reserved for native plants in the Vaud Alps. In the creek and pond, or near them, you can observe different alpine aquatic plants, insects, newts and tadpoles others specific to these environments.
