Rodrigo de Freitas is a lagoon located in the South Zone of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. Although it receives the waters of several tributary rivers that descend from the surrounding slopes, among which the Rio dos Macacos (now channeled) stands out, it presents brackish waters. © istock / jantroyka
