Description

On a journey across Europe, Otto Busse, a keen innkeeper and haulier from Berlin, fell in love with the clear, unfussy architecture of the castle, which Archduke Maximilian von Habsburg had built for himself and his wife Charlotte of Belgium directly on the sea. Some dreams turn yellow as a postcard in old albums, Otto Busse builds it. Deeply moved by this romantic story of Miramar Castle near Trieste, Otto Busse realized his dream. After he has already been in vain in the Netherlands and along the East and North Frisian coast for a perfect building site for his, Hotel Miramar`Exhibition, he finally found something on Sylt. Since then his dream enthroned as a hospitable house directly on the lake promenade in Westerland, of course, according to its name with the best sea view. Since its opening 112 years ago, his family has been cultivating and running the treasure chest until today. Otto Busse was sure that only a family-run house can preserve the style and elegance of a classic grand hotel, even over two wars to save over today to preserve tradition, without suffocating in patina.
