Goa Gajah is a historical cave temple near Ubud. It remains a functioning place of worship, but on an average day, tourists clearly outnumber local pilgrims here. Despite this, the rock carvings are intricate and visibly old, and the place is definitely worth visiting. © Istock/oratai jitsatsue
