Description

One of the best examples of a walled small size Tuscanian town, Monteriggioni was already referred to by Dante in its Divine Comedy. It is known for the 14 fortified towers along its circular and almost-intact wall, its 13th century castle originally built for defensive puroposes, and the Romanesque Church in Piazza Roma.
