Cancale, the oyster capital

Ten miles away from St-Malo, this very attractive fishing village has been famed for centuries for ostreiculture, and is known today as the "oyster capital" of Brittany. The tides here at the western tip of Mont-St-Michel Bay are among the largest in the world. After finishing your meal, go for a scenic walk along the coastal path that leads you to the Pointe du Grouin.
