Description
Although its construction started in 1329 and went on for centuries, the Church Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Candelario shows a combination of different styles: Romanesque, Renaissance, Mudejar and Baroque. The main attractions are a Romanesque statue dedicated to Cristo del Olvido, the 18th century altarpiece and its ceiling, a Mudejar wooden work of great quality, occupying a total surface of 100 square metres. © Sara Romo Rodríguez
