Château le Rosey

Description

Château le Rosey is located above the town of the village of Bursins, in the heart of La Côte, between Geneva and Lausanne. On the wooded slopes that lead to the first Jura mountains in the middle of four and a half hectares of vineyards. It is known with certainty that the castle was first built in the early 13th century as a fortress known as Savoy rectangular square. It was then partially burned and been ravaged by wars, rebuilt and expanded, undergoing several transformations during the centuries, until its recent restoration. Today, having become a wine relay with an orchard and a vegetable garden, he rediscovered its medieval role as a refuge.
