It is characterized by the complex articulation of spaces built and fenced typical open spaces of the courtyard houses in the Campidano: living spaces, premises for the transformation of agro-pastoral products, lodges, shelters for working animals and poultry. The specialization of the space reflects the complexity of the property and the family business organization, its transformations over time, the social role that the family and the company for centuries have played in the community. Starting from the memories of the house, of its peculiar habits of life, everyday and festive, dell'organizzazioni of domestic and production cycles agricultural works, the Museum documents customs, knowledge, manufacturing techniques, ways to cook and eat food that belong the entire community, which reflect the many aspects of material life and the traditional symbolic and complex web of social relations. From this point they enter the educational activities organized by "Education Department" cultural "Museum Steri house" in the Museum such as laboratories, workshops, courses, seminars and conferences aimed at both adults and children alike. The workshops offer participants the opportunity to know the nature and quality of the food, their composition, the techniques of production and processing "from farm to fork", the historical and cultural ties to the land and traditions, the evolution of eating habits, including storage methods, as well as the psychological motivations, social, cultural, ethical and advertising that can influence and / or modify the food tastes.
