The Bibi Ka Maqbara is a 17th century mausoleum built by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb for his wife, Dilras Banu Begum. While the monument resembles the Taj Mahal to a great extent, the depleting Mughal coffers at the time of Aurangzeb's rule meant that it only remained a shadow of the Taj Mahal. The Bibi Ka Maqbara, often referred to as the 'Taj of the Deccan', is a great instance of Mughal architecture.
