The megalitic sites around Carnac

Description

Carnac is regarded by archeologists as the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe. Heading north from the village, you will get across one of the most extensive Neolithic menhirs collections (there are thousands of them here) in the world. It is still not known for sure why they were put up; they probably had a cultural or religious significance.
