Description

Founded in May 2008 (initially referred to as "Candid Color") to Baganha Gallery (www.baganhagaleria.com) it is an initiative of the Portuguese businessman Fernando Baganha wanted to promote an exhibition project and trade of works of art that close as possible to the needs of collectors. In 2009 Baganha Gallery has exclusive Master Júlio Resende, a privilege that motivated the change of space in Boavista Avenue to the Bom Sucesso Street (Porto), where it remains today. The Baganha Gallery has an exhibition area of ​​about 600 m2, spread over six rooms. One of these rooms is of course dedicated to Júlio Resende and works produced mainly in the last phase of his life. However, the Baganha Gallery collection consists of works by other great names of Portuguese art, such as Álvaro Lapa, António Palolo, Armando Alves, Artur Bual, Carlos Calvet, Cruzeiro Seixas, Dario Alves, Dórdio Gomes, Fernando Firewood, Francisco Laranjo Francisco Simoes, Paulo Neves, João Cutileiro, Graça Morais, Jacinto Luis, Jorge Pinheiro, José de Guimarães, José Rodrigues, Júlio Pomar, Luis DaRocha, Manuel Casal Aguiar, Nadir Afonso, Nazareth Alvarez, Noronha da Costa, Orlando Pompeu, Paula Rego, Pedro Calapez, Sá Noronha, among many others. The international scene in Baganha Gallery can contact with works by artists such as Antoni Tàpies, Castañon, Charles Lapicque, Gilbert Artaud, Joan Miró, Louis Toffoli, Salvador Dali, Tadao Nakabayashi or Yves Klein. The collection of Baganha Gallery has more than two hundred works, representing various modern art movements and contemporary.
