3 minutes to read

The Córdoba Province is filled with nature and beautiful landscapes. Its capital is named the same, Córdoba, and it is the second biggest city in Argentina. Filled with life and happiness that only Argentinians can provide, it is the perfect place to go outdoors. In this story, I will cover some of the captivating adventures you can live in the Córdoba Province.

Cerro Uritorco

Located in the Punilla Valley, it translates from the Quechua language as "Parrot hill". The place is said to hold mystical energies that have been there from ancient civilizations. Locals say it is a place of energetic or mystical tourism. The Cerro Uritorco is a great place to practice adventure tourism, as it has a beautiful offer of flora, lagoons and hills. If you are a foodie, ask the locals where to eat, you will not be disappointed.

Los Gigantes

Los Gigantes ("The Giants" in English) is a wonder of the Córdoba Province. If you are a fan of trekking, this is the perfect place for you. There are different trails you can enjoy, they all offer a wide range of landscapes and attractions. One of the most popular is the Las Cuevas circuit. It lasts a day and takes you all the way to the top of Los Gigantes. Once you see the place, you will understand its name. I urge you to keep that moment in your mind and soul for life.

Villa General Belgrano

Imagine Germany in Argentina! This city is a mix of Argentinian and German cultures. A quick walk through the villa, and you can already appreciate the German influence on architecture and food. There is a viewpoint, "La Torre del Reloj" (Tower of the Clock), where you can see the city's landscape and its forest. I highly recommend you visiting it during the Oktoberfest festivities and eating a good German dish just for fun. The clash of cultures is captivating!

La Cumbrecita

La Cumbrecita is an hour away from the capital of the Córdoba Province. It is situated in the Calamuchita Valley in the Grand Sierras of the province. It is a beautiful small town for pedestrians only, and its landscapes are one of a kind. It is truly a place to marvel at and get some fresh air. Here, you can enjoy trekking, swimming and sightseeing. La Cumbrecita is the perfect, dreamy spot for relaxation and connecting with nature.

Mar Chiquita

One of the biggest saline lakes in the world, Mar Chiquita, is a unique wetland and a national reserve of Argentina. The activities to enjoy here are endless. If you like watching birds this is a great place to see some special species of sea birds. If your thing is relaxing and enjoying the water, you should definitely go to La Para or Miramar. Also, do not worry about lodging, there are many nice hotels nearby that offer the nicest view you can get.
