Best place for animal & nature lovers

Established in 1974, Bannerghatta National Park is home to a variety of rare and endangered species such as tigers, bison, leopards and wild boars. The park also serves as a corridor for elephants, migrating from the Eastern Ghats to the Western Ghats - quite a sight if you get an opportunity to watch. As an animal and nature lover, do not miss visiting this national park! The best time to visit the park is from September to January, when you can see the lush greenery in full glory.

Even though the park was founded in 1971, the status of the national park was acquired in 1974. Moreover, in 2002, a segment of the park was transformed into a biological reserve, also known as the  Bannerghatta Biological Park. This particular park also houses a zoo, a butterfly enclosure, an aquarium, and a safari park. Also, there is a full-fledged animal rescue centre, which since its inception has saved many wild animals, some even from circuses
