Winter is Coming to London

1 minutes to read

I believe London is the perfect city holiday destination for every season of the year. However, winter is my favourite season to stroll down the streets of Central London, the Christmas lights are up, many markets to visit and of course the one and only Winter Wonderland is all set up at the Hyde Park. The best part is that you do not have to be a Christmas enthusiasts like me to actually enjoy the winter time in London, there are activities for everyone from ice skating to extreme shopping with sales everywhere and of course ice bars :)

The Land of Wonders, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Even though I have mentioned other activities, I will focus on Winter Wonderland because it has already STARTED and I have been waiting for it for a whole year! Winter Wonderland is welcoming Londoners and the visitors between the dates of 17th of November and the 1st of January this year. If you are around I would advice you to buy a ticket online and enjoy a night with family or friends. You can pick from many package offer for various activities or buy single tickets for the most appealing ones. I promise it is not only for kids! You can enjoy a drink at the ice bar or walk through the Christmas Markets sipping on mulled wine while your kids are enjoying the show Cinderella on Ice. There are many rides for the young souls, romantic couples or just the tipsy pre-gamers:)

There are also iconic ice rinks around the city throughout the Christmas season. Two of my all time favourites would be the Natural History Museum Ice Rink and the Somerset House Ice Rink, but bare in mind that you might need to pre book slots for these two as they might be too crowded.
