The name says it all. Aalborg Street Food at The Lighthouse is a place which was created over a year ago, in western Aalborg with the aim to take its customers on a food trip around the world. 

The Lighthouse is situated in an old furniture factory at Skudehavnen in the western part of the city. This unique place is popular for its very high ceilings, and spacious seating areas for all sorts of gatherings. Whether it’s with family and kids, or a group of friends, the Lighthouse is your place to eat if you are in Aalborg.

Why is The Lighthouse so unique?

The Lighthouse aims to give you the opportunity to taste amazing food from around the world, at high quality and affordable prices. At the site, you will find 16 different cuisines from around the world, including Indian, Scandinavian and Asian dishes. Every stand or kitchen creates a beautiful art piece out of your meal, making it a memorable experience for your eyes and your taste buds.

The Lighthouse has become rather popular amongst the locals as well as tourists, as it gives you a nice and economic alternative to unhealthy junk food. 

Aalborg Street Food has been created to welcome everyone and anyone, holding space for 540 people, with spacious eating areas, a lounge area and a cosy atmosphere. During the warm weather the Lighthouse becomes a popular place due to its outdoor seating area, which is located right next to the harbour. Being able to sit outside, enjoy your favourite cuisine in the world and watch the sunset over the harbour, now what else could you ask for?!

To avoid the hustle of carrying money and exact change around, once you arrive at The Lighthouse, you get to purchase Street Coins, with which you will be able to pay for your drinks and food. The Street Coins are equivalent to the Danish Kroner, and range between 10- 100 DKK (1.5 to 15 Euros). 

What should you eat at The Lighthouse?

Whether you’d like to have some delicious sushi, a burger, an Asian style wok, or Moroccan food,  Aalborg Street Food has it all! Treat yourself to some homemade Fish & Chips at Danyar Fish & Chips, where you can find some of the most authentic and healthy fish and chips dishes. The fish is baked in a homemade batter and comes from the Faroe Islands.

If you’d like to taste a rather unique burger then head over to DUCK IT, for a pulled duck burger made with best quality confit de canard served with red onion and a secret homemade dressing.

Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth you shouldn’t miss out on Desserten. This place serves amazing homemade waffles and pancakes with organic ice cream, topped with various toppings.

Last but not least, the drinks:

At Aalborg Street Food you can find some of the best blends of coffee, 17 different kinds of beer, a large variety of wines, champagne and cocktails. Don’t despair, freshly squeezed juices are also available!
