Summer is coming, and the number of tourists in Georgia is increasing. The most popular destination in the summer is Batumi as it is the pearl of the Black Sea. However, if you are looking only for a relaxing holiday, where you can enjoy the sea, sun, fresh air and mountains, then you can choose other resorts in Georgia. Shekvetili is one of the best places to relax with your family in a harmonious atmosphere. Apart from the magnetic sand and very nice hotels, there is the Miniature Park as well. In this park, you can see the most iconic buildings and sites of Georgia, on a smaller scale.

Description

The Miniature Park is located in Shekvetili, which is located around a one-hour drive from Batumi. The park occupies 2 hectares of the land, and its construction began in the summer of 2014. Visitors have a great opportunity to see the main architectural and historical buildings, iconic churches and towers in one space. There are around 55 miniature replicas from all over Georgia, made by the European standards at a scale 1:25. The complex of the Miniature Park also includes a visitor’s center, where you can see mini-amphitheater, café, and various functional spaces. The park-museum is very beautiful, and it impresses each visitor. You can see the most popular tourist destinations in the park as well.

Different locations

The best thing about the Miniature Park is that you can see the whole of Georgia and get an idea which locations you want to visit in the following days. For instance, you can start with the Mtskheta city, Svetitskhoveli and Jvari Monastery, all represented in the park. You can also see the Svaneti miniature that looks great with its Svanetian Towers and houses. In the background, there are the Caucasian Mountains that are covered in snow. If you visit the park in the daytime, you can see each detail of the miniatures better. However, in the evening, Miniature Park is very mystical as all the miniatures are lighted up. One more miniature that is very interesting is Tbilisi that looks very sweet on a smaller scale. You can see Narikala Fortress and the Old Town with different colors of balconies.
