Fishing

Jämtland is the perfect spot for the ones who love fishing. Specifically, late summer is the ideal time for a unique "twilight fishing" experience. Brown trouts appear into the increasing darkness when the hatching of the dragonflies is at its most intense. Large whitefish are happy to take a dry-fly or spinner, while pikes love to thrive during heat waves. In autumn whitefish, perches and pikes are still biting. Take your equipment and enjoy some good quality fishing while there.

Hiking

If you love hiking, you are once again in the right place. Jämtland offers unique hiking trails in almost every small village. However, on this page I will introduce you to the most special one, the famous triangle route. The famous Jämtland triangle is one of the most well-known hiking trails of Sweden. Jämtland has an amazing tradition and a large production of locally processed food. This is actually the region within the European Union with the largest number of organic producers!! The quality of the locally produced food products is very high; not only because of the manufacturing processes that have evolved over time, but also because of the richness in herbs, the generally favorable environmental conditions, the clean water and of course, the committed and skilled producers. All the different restaurants benefit from the great products making their daily dishes extra tasty.
