3 minutes to read

Nicosia is the capital of the Republic of Cyprus and the heartbeat of the whole country.

As you can imagine, in the heartbeat of the whole country as mentioned above, it's only normal that you can find a variety of fine dining restaurants. Restaurants that will challenge your palate with incredible tastes that guarantee a unique experience.  So let's visit some of those top fine dining restaurants!

Domus Lounge Bar & Restaurant

Domus Lounge Bar & Restaurant is located in the old city center on the opposite side of the Archiepiscopal Palace. It is a place that must be visited. This chic-fine dining restaurant had made everyone talk about its excellent menu and its even greatest atmosphere.

The bar is made out of wood. You enter, and it gives you a feeling that you have been transferred to a chalet with the most modern touch and the best service. The restaurant has a different style, with natural colors and lights that make you relax and permit you to relish all the dishes offered.

Brasserie Au Bon Plaisir

Au Bon Plaisir dates back to 2004 when everything was kind of limited in quiches and sandwiches. And YES, this is how the story of this restaurant started. "Au Bon Plaisir" started as a delicatessen in the pedestrian zone next to Ledra. It was and still is a family run business that sells sandwiches and quiches.

This Brasserie has been awarded by Trip Advisor with the Certificate of Excellence in 2017 and 2019. The goal of this restaurant is to offer quality meals and satisfy its visitors. It is a french-style restaurant with a pleasant and friendly atmosphere and with tastes that travel you to France.

The restaurant offers a variety of french plates and french cuisine, but when it comes to mussels, it steals the show. The mussels are prepared in a variety of different ways and are served in a hot-pot alongside French fries. Also, if mussels are not of your likeness, the steak and duck will fascinate you.

Vino Cultura Restaurant

Vino Cultura Restaurant is a wine bar that mostly focuses on wine and "aperitivos". It is promoting the philosophy and culture of wine. The idea of this restaurant is, of course, to bring people closer to the wine culture.

Vino Cultura is a family run business, based on a 20-year experience and passion for wine. The Sommelier that is responsible for all the wine provided in the restaurant has the title of the Best Sommelier of  Cyprus for  2018, and he will represent Cyprus at the next ASI Competition for the Best Sommelier of the World.

The restaurant may not have an incredible menu when it comes to large portions, but it offers a great variety of tapas plates that can well be served aside with a glass of excellent wine.

So if you find yourself in Nicosia and you are looking for a different kind of dinner, please visit one of those places. You will not regret it!
