Canary Islands

The Canary Islands are an Atlantic territory of Spain, located on the west coast of Africa, near Morocco. The most popular island is Tenerife, known for its mild climate all over the year. What you get first there is a very rich natural environment... and the possibility to go on top of El Teide, the highest summit of Spain....

The beaches in Tenerife are not as beautiful as in the Mediterranean Sea (you will find rocks rather than white sand), but the island is a wonderful spot for relaxing.\n\nFuerteventura, another well-known island of the archipelago, is the paradise of surfing.\n\nBeside, Gran Canaria and La Palma have great natural reserves, UNESCO-listed.\n\nNature is not everything though: the Canaries as a Spanish territory are a legacy of the former Spanish Empire. You will realize this when walking across the streets of the small towns, entering its churches and embracing the atmosphere of festivals.
