Volga

The Volga region is located in the southwest part of the country. It borders Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea....

The region was built around the Volga river, one of the longest rivers in the world. It has testified the development of Russia over the last centuries, witnessing numerous battles and wars that helped to make Russia the country it is today. Along the river, you can visit many historic places: the capital Kazan, Stalin’s Bunker in Samara, the cultural monuments of Saratov, the World War II’s museums of Volgograd, the surroundings of the city of Astrakhan. Many people choose to visit this region through a cruise along the Volga River, but you can also do it on your own.
