Gelderland

The largest province in the country, bordering Germany to the East, it is a mix of nature (with forests, lakes, and the presence of old castles) and knowledge economy....

The late one being pushed by the presence of higher education institutions in hubs such as Arnhem, the capital of the province. Other spots are sought after by the tourists, like Niimegen. Nijmegen, known as the oldest town in the Netherlands, is a former Roman military camp that later became a center of commerce, before turning to a real city today. Needless to say that such a historic place has numerous museums and a great architecture that only waits for being unveiled. Up North, in Otterlo, you will have to visit one of the province’s majors attractions: the Kröller-Müller Museum and its unique collection of Modern Art. As the museum is located right in the middle of nature, it is also a place for relaxing and taking some fresh air.
