Požega-Slavonia

Pozega-Slavonia is located in the northwest center of the country, in the Posenga valley....

This valley was, and still is, an important fertile valley. Today large quantities of wine are made in this region, with the most famous ones, and probably the best, being the wine of Kutjevo city called Kutjevo and the Grasevina (most famous wine of the country). The capital of this region is the small old city of Pozega. This city does not have impressive monuments, but it is still one of the oldest cities of the country built by Romans. Some other cities that are famous in this region are, Lipik in the west, with its impressive hospital and Orljava build on the Sava river.
