Lika-Senj

Lika-Senj is located in the center of the country. It borders Bosnia-Herzegovina on the east and the Adriatic sea on the west....

The capital of the region is the sweet city of Gospic. Birthplace of Nikolas Tesla (the famous electrical engineer and inventor). In the city you will find a museum and a memorial about him, but also about some of the big Croatian wars. The biggest thing though around the city is the Roman Catholic Diocese. On the other side of the region you will find the port city of Senj. A really nice city with a long harbor and a famous fortress, Nehaj. The region also has some islands in the Adriatic sea like, Pag, an island mostly known for its cheese and lace. Pag is still an island so you can easily find a little beach or creek to enjoy the sea.
