Tierra del Fuego

The southernmost archipelago in America, Tierra del Fuego is an Argentinian province....

Its name means ‘Land of Fire’ and it was given by the early European explorers when they arrived to this land in the sixteenth century, even if this part of the world has been populated by Indigenous tribes for more than 10.000 years. This windswept archipelago is known for its wild and extreme nature: snow-capped mountain highs, strong winds, unspoilt forests and green plains. Throughout this land, many traces of its intriguing past can be found: shipwrecks, native people’s remains and signs of early colonisation attempts, most of which failed due to the rather inhospitable weather conditions. Tierra del Fuego is a destination for adventure seekers and nature lovers: it does not disappoint and just exceeds any possible expectation.
